“My husband tested positive for Covid April 1st he was seen in your facility in the ER we had a great experience considering how sick he was that day he had a seizure and scared my daughter granddaughter and myself. We called 911 and he was transported to Fulton County Medical Center. The staff was very afraid of this virus and that was a smart approach to a serious virus he was very sick. They tested him and the test came positive the ER doctor did an exam on him told us how to deal with symptoms he was having that day. Fast forward to April 8th my husband developed a very bad cough worried about pneumonia in his lungs I called Fulton Family Practice and got an appointment to see Dr.Orange that day at 1:30 pm.We saw the doctor and he ordered blood work and chest x-ray which was done that day.All your staff was wonderful I felt they cared about him. Dr.Orange call us that evening and said he had pneumonia and he ordered a Cat Scan for Friday April 9th just yesterday. We went for the Cat”
“Deborah Hoffman used the 60-minute commute from her home in Hagerstown, MD to the Fulton County Medical Center’s Wound Center to reflect on life. For the past 10 years she has been treated for venous leg ulcers. “I taught school for over 40 years and that involved standing a lot,” said the affable Hoffman. “I was being treated in Hagerstown.” Then she saw a television commercial about the FCMC Wound Center. She decided a change of venue would do her good. She made the first trek to Fulton County – “it’s like going back in time,” says Hoffman – last March. She met twice a week with Dr. Vicki Ellis, who prescribed Unna Boot compression wraps as part of the treatment. Four months later, Hoffman’s ulcers have been remedied. “Do you know what the irony is about having Dr. Ellis as my physician,” asked Hoffman. “I had her as a student. She’s the reason for my success.” “What a lovely group of ladies (in the Wound Center),” continued Hoffman with a big smile. “The staff is kind and compassion”
